The Operations Analyst role involves hands-on tasks like installing, maintaining, modifying, and fixing physical equipment (like servers, storage, switches, etc.) in data centers, networking/telecom rooms, and routing hubs. Duties include overseeing and supporting data center and network/telecom infrastructure, such as racks, cabling, UPS units, and environmental controls. This involves using DCIM tools like Schneider Electric Struxureware and Johnson Controls Metasys. The role also supports data center operators, monitors systems and applications, interacts with internal clients, and liaises with vendors. The Operations Analyst takes direction from the Manager of Data Center and Infrastructure Operations and the Senior Operations Analyst but is expected to handle specific projects independently with good judgment. Additionally, they participate in the on-call rotation for the Data Center during unattended hours. | |
