The HR Business Partner plays a key role in ensuring we continue to engage, support, and retain our DC workforce. As a key member of the team, the HR Generalist will touch on all aspects of HR: performance management, recognition, engagement, employee relations, benefits, and culture. They will collaborate closely with the HR Manager, as well as PADC business leaders, to help drive initiatives that support the organization?s goals and objectives.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor?s Degree.
5 years of experience in Human Resources, including at least 2 years in an HR Generalist role.
2 years of experience with managing employee investigations and conflict resolution.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Comprehensive organizational development and change management experience. Navigate ambiguity with ease.
Ability to build and facilitate trusted business partnerships across multiple functional groups within the HR organization.
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, Unemployment, Workers Compensation, etc.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Strong analytic skills, ability to analyze data, and solve problems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in providing proactive solutions to HR issues.
Strong oral and written communication skills, performance management, and analytical skills.
Ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong prioritization, problem-solving, organizational skills, and critical thinking skills.
Able to conduct presentations and present data on tables and spreadsheets.
Able to operate under pressure and facilitate a team-building environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Bilingual Spanish.
