JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Gas & Chemical Tech for our client in Tempe, AZ! Pay rate: $20 - $21/hr Work Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm The warehouse operator is responsible for shipping and receiving for the entire site and must be able and willing to perform a variety of tasks in several different work functions. Under general supervision, the warehouse operator will be involved with the processing and movement of parts / components, chemical drums, and other items throughout the plant. A focus on safety, and quality with attention-to-detail is a strong must. Excellent recordkeeping is also necessary to be successful in this role. Duties for the Warehouse Operator include: ? Maintaining safe working conditions and practices to achieve safety objectives ? Maintain required safety documentation ? Attending all mandatory site-specific training and meetings ? Performing work duties in accordance with Quality Systems Manual procedures, safety policies and site specific requirements. ? Actively participate in site safety program ? Keeping work and supply areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition at all times ? Learn and know the required transactions using our MPR enterprise system associated with the Shipping role ? Learn and know all the required labeling requirements for each package / product shipped ? Learn and know all the required shipping packaging kits and equipment used ? Prepares goods (including hazardous materials) for final shipment according to applicable regulations ? Operate a forklift and pallet jack (both electric and manual). Must maintain forklift certification ? Assist with reviewing, editing, and developing work instructions and other required documents associated with the work area(s) ? General Warehouse management including inventory control of material, storing, receiving, handling and processing of chemical raw material drums and other vessels throughout the plant ? Receipt, inspection and delivery of ordered materials ? General housekeeping duties inside and outside of the plant ? Utilize a computer to input and retrieve data ? Participate in the process for entering, collecting and reviewing safety and quality data Physical Attributes: ? Ability to lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs ? Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, and or reach above shoulder ? Wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, masks, and or steel-toed safety shoes, as needed (All PPE is provided, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses (prescription included if needed), and high-visibility orange vests) Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: ? HS or Equivalent education ? Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions ? Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and technical drawings ? Forklift driving and/or pallet jack experience ? Be able to move large objects ? Must have a good, clean driving record ? Must have the ability to be Forklift certified ? Have and maintain a good driving record Preferred Qualifications: ? Familiar with a MRP enterprise type system for inventory and warehouse management ? Preferrable to have experience working with chemicals ? Preferable to have DOT/Hazmat certification but will train the right person ? Familiar with DOT 49CFR Hazardous Goods, IATA ? International Air Dangerous Goods, ADR ? Agreement on Dangerous Goods by Road and IMDG ? International Maritime Dangerous Goods regulations in preparing goods for final shipment ? Sound interpersonal and communication skills ? Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment ? Basic experience with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook |
