JobsRUs.com is looking for two highly experienced Diesel Mechanics in the Richmond, VA area.

Schedule: M-F 6:30am - 5:30pm
Payrate: $18.00/hr - $30.00/hr ***Based on experience***

Job Summary:

We are in search of two Diesel Mechanics who will maintain their fleet trucks and machinery by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and components. The mechanic will maintain cleanliness on the shop floor, interact well with others, provide quality customer service, and follow safety policies and procedures. The Mechanic should have strong Problem-solving skills, communication, and organization skills.

Job Requirements:

* 1-3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
* mack truck repair experience preferred.
* HVAC Systems with License preferred.
* Proven knowledge of engine components.
* Must Possess Tools.
* Vocational training in Diesel Mechanics preferred.
* Attention to detail.
* Physical fitness: Must be able to lift up to 150lbs.

Job Responsibilities:

* inspecting vehicle systems, including transmissions, engines, steering, differentials, transmission, clutches, drive shafts, PTO's wheel ends and brakes.

*Running diagnostic test on diesel engines to find faults.
* Analyzing test results to offer solutions.
* Repairing or replacing engines, transmissions, steering, and braking systems
* performing basic maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and checking fluid levels.
* using diagnostic computer software to service engines.
* Collaborate with other diesel technicians to ensure the best results in a timely manner.
* make various adjustments, alignments, and repairs, to correct any vehicle deficiencies.
* conduct inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine the condition of the vehicle.

* Test engine safety and combustion control standards to comply with federal and state vehicle requirements.

* Clean, wash and paint vehicles to maintain appearance.
* Record services and repairs to maintain accurate vehicle records.
*Place orders and keep stock of inventory to ensure necessary supplies at hand.
*Collaborate with Coworkers to get repairs done in a timely manner.

Physical Demands:

* Standing for long periods of time, Bending or twisting their body
* Kneeling, stooping, crouching, or crawling. Lifting and carrying large parts.
* Operating Heavy machinery
* use various tools, including torque wrenches, pliers, drills, and screwdrivers
* work in awkward and sometimes uncomfortable positions to work on equipment.

Work Environment:

*Heated floors in winter
* Large fans- open air. Noisy at times
