JobsRUs.com is seeking a Telecom Decom Engineer to work for our client! Benefits Available! $27.40/Hour Shift: M-F 9-5 with travel involved. Our client is seeking someone located within a 40-minute drive of Council Bluffs, IA. Decom Field Engineer Role: Work on customer sites nationwide with the Decom team, managing the return of customer material to inventory. Responsibilities include project preparation, part identification, configuration checks, safe equipment removal, packaging, and inventory updates. Daily Activities: Site work, travel booking, adhering to security policies, project preparation, part identification, configuration checks, repacking, material preparation, inventory updates, team meetings, and documentation updates. Travel: Initial 2 months, weekly travel for training; thereafter, 30% travel, 70% local. Key Responsibilities: Security compliance, expense reporting, attending customer meetings, health and safety adherence, travel policy adherence, confidentiality. Qualifications: 3-5 years telecom experience, inventory management, computer literacy, independent work, hardware experience, fast-paced environment familiarity, query resolution, heavy lifting capability. Skills: Excellent English communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, productivity under pressure, team-building. Knowledge: Optical link characterization, end-face inspection, insertion loss, distance, connector/splice measurements, reflectance, ORL, CD, PMD, basic AC/DC power, ESD precautions. Other: Evening/weekend availability, driver's license, auto insurance, passport preferred. Education: High School diploma. | |
