JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Warehouse Associate for our client in Portland, OR! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $26.82/Hour 2nd Shift: 7pm - 3am Description: The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring accurate distribution of products to predetermined routes. They are responsible for loading and unloading trailers, verifying load(s) before distribution, and reporting any overages or shortages to the Head Shipper. It is important to follow all safety procedures set forth by the company, and to be qualified to cover for the Head Shipper in case of illness or vacation. Other key responsibilities include manually selecting a wide variety of products for 250 routes, working in a fast-paced environment with a high focus on safety and customer service, and maintaining close interaction within a team environment. Power Equipment license is not necessary, and additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned by the supervisor. To qualify for this position, a high school education or equivalent is preferred, but not required, along with 1-3 years of relevant shipping experience. Entry-level candidates may be accepted if they possess a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates competency to perform the work. Strong reading, math, and people skills are essential, along with being well-organized and computer-literate. The Warehouse Associate should be able to lift 20 lbs overhead to a height of 92 inches, and must be able to read, write, and speak English. They should also be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. | |
