Job Overview:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician reports directly to either the Engineering Manager or the Production Supervisor. Their primary responsibility is the routine setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of highly complex and automated manufacturing equipment. They ensure the smooth functioning of machinery to meet production, quality, and efficiency targets. Additionally, they are involved in preventive maintenance tasks, equipment installations, and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Setup, operate, and maintain complex manufacturing equipment.
Monitor production metrics and address issues related to quality, downtime, and waste.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance and repairs.
Conduct preventive maintenance scheduling and completion.
Support equipment installation, removal, and corrective maintenance.
Monitor equipment performance for proactive maintenance and improvement.
Assist in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting activities.
Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance and quality records.
Adhere to safety and quality standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED with relevant certification and 2 years of experience, or 4 years of relevant experience.
Relevant fields include Electrical/Electronics Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, etc.
Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Familiarity with various equipment and processes.
Knowledge of trades mathematics and precision measuring instruments.
Basic computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
Preferred experience includes troubleshooting industrial control systems, PLC operations, mechanical design, and the use of specialized equipment like mills and lathes.
