Jobsrus.com is hiring for test technicians at a medical manufacturing facility in San Jose.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-230pm
Pay: $26-$30/hour depending on experience

The role involves conducting production testing of flow cytometers and related medical devices,
performing various electronic, mechanical, optical, fluidic, and electromechanical tasks to
ensure units meet specifications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, replacing defective
components, analyzing test results, documenting findings, and collaborating with engineers and
technicians. Essential functions include instrument optimization, final production testing, defect
analysis, documentation, and providing feedback for continuous improvement. The position
requires an Associates degree, 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, proficiency in communication, mathematical concepts, mechanical skills, and familiarity with test equipment and software. Desirable qualifications include experience in medical device manufacturing, testing and troubleshooting various systems, strong PC knowledge, familiarity with quality standards, and expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts.

Essential Functions:

Conduct instrument optimization after assembly, including laser alignment and electrical adjustments.
Perform final production testing and inspection to ensure products meet specifications.
Analyze test results on defective units to determine root cause and perform necessary repairs.
Document test data and generate required documentation for Device History Record (DHR).
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve complex problems.
Read and understand detailed instructions, work orders, and documentation.
Provide feedback on production methods, product design, and operational efficiency.
Support project teams for quality improvement, cost reduction, and new product introduction.
Assist in creating and updating process and product documentation.
Maintain productive working relationships and collaborate with peers to achieve goals.
Collect and document key measurements and data for performance improvement.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
Stay updated on regulatory compliance and participate in training programs.
Follow Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
Report hazardous conditions and provide recommendations for a safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates degree (A.S.).
3+ years of related experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in mathematical concepts and practical applications.
Good mechanical aptitude, dexterity, and coordination.
Experience with test equipment and software.
Familiarity with PC or MAC systems and software.
Willingness to train in other production areas.
Knowledge and adherence to safety procedures.
Exposure to ISO 9000 and cGMP 21 CFR part 820.
Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in medical device manufacturing.
Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting various systems.
Strong knowledge of PC systems and networking environments.
Experience with Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with ISO 9000 and cGMP 21 CFR part 820.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Demand Flow Technology (DFT).
Experience with Logic Analyzer and Oscilloscope.##
