Seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician for our client in Tarboro, NC! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! 21.00 per Hour Efficient problem diagnosis and repair specialist ensuring optimal equipment functionality. Regularly tests, inspects, and addresses issues proactively to prevent downtime. Proficient in responding to power outages and downstream problems with minimal supervision. Applies expertise in routine procedures, completing standardized activities, and resolving straightforward task-related problems. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools. Inspect, adjust, program, and repair machinery, mechanisms, controls, and equipment as per assigned preventive maintenance PM schedules. Responsible for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical work on equipment, infrared heaters, and gas-fired burners. Document equipment historical data for reliability analysis and planning upgrades. Document modifications, repair, set-ups, maintenance, PM, and safety procedures to enhance equipment reliability and quality control. Review, interpret, and apply logical decisions using schematics and drawings for proper equipment isolation during maintenance. Move, relocate, and install plant machinery, manufacturing, or facilities-related equipment. Assemble equipment and special machines based on designs and sketches. Install and design guards or safety equipment to eliminate identified hazards. Assist in rebuilding plant machinery components and contribute to machine, process, and layout improvements. Recommend and participate in minor systems modifications under management and engineering guidance. Maintain clean, organized, and safe working areas, tools, and equipment. Recommend spare parts for inventory to ensure equipment reliability. Operate all necessary equipment for job performance. Perform rigging activities, safety-related functions, and other job-related electrical tasks. Work from catwalks, scaffolds, roofs, ladders, and use forklifts, high lifts, and similar equipment responsibly. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and collaborate well in a team environment. Take instructions from senior skilled employees and display a willingness to learn new skills. Conduct general area and workstation housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment. Store inventory and materials neatly and labeled in accordance with 5S principles. Support and participate in high-performing teams, safety activities, and departmental improvements. Physical Requirements Bends, stoops, crouches, reaches, and pulls Walks, cleans, and completes paperwork. Lifts and moves up to 40 pounds. Holds and lifts parts of different sizes, shapes, and weights, in order to inspect. Inspects parts using near vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Work Environment Regularly exposed to humid conditions, airborne particles, extreme cold and heat. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Forklift license within two weeks of hire required. Two years industrial experience preferred. | |
