JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a QA/QC Chemist for our client in Chicago! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $25.00/Hour Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM 3 on 2 off, 2 on 2 off Primary Responsibilities: . Lead and ensure safe laboratory operations, taking charge of safety protocols. . Participate in Customer, Quality, PSM, or EHSS audits. . Set laboratory goals, performance expectations, and hold lab personnel accountable. . Provide comprehensive training to QC technicians, emphasizing safety and competence. . Oversee the production, maintenance, and accuracy of customer documentation such as Specifications, AMLs, and COAs. . Safely handle the preparation and delivery of chemical materials and customer samples. . Schedule work assignments to maintain efficient data flow and minimize sample backlogs. . Resolve quality issues, including instrument reliability, accuracy, and turnaround time. . Collaborate with the Quality Manager to develop or enhance analytical methods. . Assist users in interpreting analytical results and provide support to management, technicians, and production teams. . Participate in correlation studies to validate the precision and accuracy of analytical data. . Engage in analytical Six Sigma quality initiatives and site programs. Education and Experience: . Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. . 5+ years of relevant lab experience in a petrochemical plant. . Familiarity with ISO 9001 (Lead Auditor certification or ASQ certification preferred). . Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred. . DOT Hazardous Material Certification is a plus. | |
