Shift Details: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Unit: Interventional Radiology - Mercy Hospital Springfield
Required Certifications: Registered with the ARRT in Radiography and CT, BLS from AHA only
Required Experience: 1 years CT Tech in a hospital setting

Must be willing to float when needed

MUST BE FLU VACCINATED TO BE SUBMITTED - NO EXCEPTIONS

General Comments

Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by ARRT and registered with the ARRT in CT.

Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card

Job Summary:

Performs diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level. Transports patients when needed. Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dress code and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance. Understands the importance of the integrity of the archive. Follows established downtime processes when needed. Performs all post processing procedures on the Vitrea workstations. Performs all necessary functions on the QC workstation.

Other:

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Technical skill in Medical Scanning, understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, 3-D knowledge, computer skills (PACS, HIS/RIS, QC, workstations), power injectors, and CPR. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: This individual must be capable of: manipulating equipment, evaluate and select proper exposure factors, evaluate images, lifting, moving, and transporting patients, continual standing and walking, adapt to stressful and emergent situations, and have good communication skills. Equipment Used: This individual must be proficient in the use of CT Scanners, power injectors, workstations, and computers.
