Job Summary: Journeyman Electrician Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday 7a - 3:30p Payrate is based on experience. $25/hr. Interviews are required where payrates will be discussed further. Position Summary: The Electrician will install electrical wiring, fixtures, conduit, power feeders, branch circuits, MC cables, cable trays, basket trays, control wiring, lug crimping, mounting panels, equipment, labeling and terminating. Follow safety codes. Supervisory Responsibilities: ? Electrician Apprentice Duties/Responsibilities: ? Installs electrical wiring systems for, switchgears, UPS, panelboards, lighting, switches, outlets, and transformers. ? Installs conduits, electrical wires, and cables. ? Ensures conduit install complies with electrical codes. ? Installs Ladder cable trays, and Basket cable trays. ? Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them. ? Installs power feeders to equipment?s. ? Installs branch circuits. ? Inspects electrical systems to ensure proper installation is up to code. ? Installs low voltage/control wiring. ? Terminates power feeders (compression lugs), branch circuits, and control wiring. ? Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: ? Ability to read blueprints. ? Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring. ? Ability to use hand tools and power tools. ? Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment. ? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. ? Knowledgeable in the NEC code. Education and Experience: ? High school diploma or equivalent required. ? Completion of a formal apprenticeship is preferred, and electrician?s license preferred. Physical Requirements: ? Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders. ? Capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits, and cable trays. ? Able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. | |
