Seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer for our client in Durham, NC! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! 33.85 Per Hour Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering 1 plus years of related work experience Previous classroom Job Description Position overview We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer. This individual will work within our multidisciplinary design team to create prototypes, parts, and assemblies for the development of our automation solutions. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment are skills that will support a high level of success in this position. Key Responsibilities Design sheet metal, plastic, and machined parts and assemblies for use in automation equipment. Analyze and test the design of parts and assemblies to ensure that they meet design specifications, cost goals, and manufacturability requirements. Contribute to a multidisciplinary research and development team to conceptualize innovative new systems related to pharmaceutical automation. Work closely with in-house engineers and technicians, plus outside vendors, to develop cost-effective mechanical prototypes that also support electrical and software subsystems. Document part and system designs for sourcing, inspection, and internal use. Perform basic ROI analysis on potential design changes to ensure that a redesign effort will be beneficial. Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering 1+ years of related work experience Previous classroom and/or work experience with solid modeling and analysis tools, SolidWorks experience preferred Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook Work environment and physical demands The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
