JobsRUs.com is currently hiring Sanitation Technicians in ST Albans, Vermont! This is an on-site position located in ST Albans, Vermont, with no remote opportunity and no C2C. Pay: $19.00/hr. Monday - Friday, 5:45 am - 2:15 pm ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR SANITATION TECHNICIAN ROLE: -Responsible for cleaning all aspects of the factory -Responsible for structure cleaning; and rotation. -Complete all SAP/BRC paperwork to comply with existing and new requirements. -Responsible for participation in Bloodborne Pathogens, chemical & glass cleanup programs. -Required to participate in daily exercise activities at the beginning of each shift. -Responsible for food and employee safety as well as meeting all regulatory requirements -Ability to adhere to GMPs and all other food safety requirements. Cleaning and Sanitizing Equipment: Disassembling, cleaning, and sanitizing production equipment, machinery, and utensils. Ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols and standards. Surface Cleaning: Cleaning and disinfecting floors, walls, and other surfaces in production areas. Removing debris and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Chemical Handling: Properly handling and mixing cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines. Diluting and applying sanitizing solutions to surfaces. Waste Disposal: Collecting and disposing of waste and trash in designated areas. Following waste disposal procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Inspection and Reporting: Inspecting equipment and facilities for cleanliness and compliance. Reporting any sanitation issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors. Adherence to Regulations: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and sanitation standards. Staying informed about and implementing changes in sanitation protocols. Equipment Assembly: Reassembling and setting up equipment after cleaning. Conducting pre-operational inspections to ensure cleanliness. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities. Completing sanitation logs and reports as required. Communication: Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding sanitation procedures and issues. Collaborating with production staff to coordinate cleaning schedules. Safety Procedures: Following safety protocols and guidelines while performing sanitation duties. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Training: Participating in training sessions related to sanitation procedures and safety. Training new employees on sanitation protocols and best practices. Emergency Response: Responding to and assisting with emergency situations related to sanitation. Coordinating with emergency response teams when necessary. JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR SANITATION TECHNICIAN: -High school diploma or equivalency - Minimum of one year of experience working in a food-manufacturing environment. -Follows work schedule, knowing what steps are needed to complete the work. -Constant standing and walking & lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. -Ability to stand, kneel, band, and stretch to view all areas of the facility as well as climb ladders, and move comfortably around the entire facility. -Must be able to use scissor lifts daily.
