Job Summary: As a Filling and Packaging Operator in Cayey, Puerto Rico, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include routine pouching, bagging, labeling, and packaging tasks. Additionally, you will support bottling, filling, TruCOUNT boxing, and label preparation processes according to established procedures. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong computer skills, and analytical thinking. The Filling and Packaging Operator must thrive in a fast-paced, highly diverse, and team-oriented environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Execute the following Fill and Pack processes: Final Product labeling Final Product Generic Kitting Support the following Fill and Pack processes: Pre-work for Fill and Pack processes (issuance of batch records and documents, label printing, etc.) Manual and automatic filling (filling/vialing, capping & labeling) and packaging (labeling, bagging, pouching, and kitting). Boxing and label preparation for the TruCOUNT area. Inspections as per applicable production records. Responsible for material preparation following established procedures. Perform equipment inspection, calibration, and maintenance. Maintain relevant logs and manufacturing records. Actively participate in the Daily Management System, including attending and leading shift start-up meetings and tracking metrics. Observe Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP), safety regulations, ISO requirements, and Company Policies. Provide feedback for document improvement and area changes. Promote a safe work environment and report hazards or unsafe practices. Support Quality Assurance by complying with regulatory requirements and participating in training. Meet departmental production objectives efficiently and effectively while maintaining quality. Manage materials, including storing, retrieving, staging, and reconciling inventories as required. Enter packaging data into the SAP system and/or other Production Planning/Manufacturing Resource database systems. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of product/process quality, cost reduction, and production capability. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including document improvement, area efficiency enhancement, and 5S maintenance. Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills: Strong organizational skills and task prioritization. Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Quick learner with new tasks and methods. Basic knowledge of computer applications, email, and office software. Proficiency in math calculations and measurement conversions. Familiarity with GMP, QSR, or ISO requirements is desirable. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Education and Experience: Minimum of a High School diploma. A technical degree related to science fields is preferable. Preferably, a minimum of three months of experience in a regulated industry. Mental Demand: Apply principles of rational systems to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables. Manage stressful situations. Physical Demand: Occasionally, the work requires carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling of high-level objects. Additionally, occasionally requires sitting, stooping, and reaching. Frequently, the job requires handling, talking, hearing, and seeing far vision. The job requires constant standing, walking, fingering, and seeing (near vision/depth perception/visual color discrimination). Working Environment: The work is constantly performed inside the building and may involve exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold temperatures.
