Job description Location: Cayey, Puerto Rico Job Type: Full-time Job Description: Summary: Join our team as a Filling & Packaging Technician at BD Biosciences in Cayey, Puerto Rico. We are seeking a dedicated individual to play a vital role in our manufacturing processes. If you are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Execute bottling, filling, pouching, bagging, labeling, and packaging processes according to established procedures. Operate and maintain production equipment, including semi-automated and automated filling machines, capping, and labeling lines. Generate labels using label printing equipment. Perform visual inspections for quality control. Support inventory control processes. Assist in revising and generating SOPs and work instructions. Clean and sanitize laboratory glassware and plastic ware. Maintain documentation and logs. Follow safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with the team to meet production objectives. Manage materials and supplies efficiently. Input packaging data into SAP and other systems. Stay up-to-date with compliance requirements and participate in training on regulatory issues. Promote a safe work environment and report any hazards. Requirements: Technical degree related to Science fields preferred (e.g., Pharmacy technician, nurse, etc.). Minimum of 6 months of experience in a laboratory (academic, research, clinical) or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of mechanical equipment and PLC machinery is a plus. Pipetting skills are preferable. Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Spanish and English. Basic computer skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel to the US mainland and offshore. Working Environment: Work is performed indoors in a controlled environment. Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects. Frequent handling, talking, hearing, and seeing. Constant standing, walking, fingering, and seeing (near vision/depth perception/visual color discrimination).
