Job Summary: Join our dynamic team in Puerto Rico! As a Biochemist I, you'll perform crucial manufacturing activities such as purification, formulation, tissue culture, and conjugation. Follow established protocols, conduct assays, and maintain equipment. Be a part of continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with QSR, ISO, and OSHA standards. Duties and Responsibilities: TC Area Responsibilities: Create, maintain, and test Master and Working cells Banks. Conduct in-process tests for viability, secretion, and sterility. Process cell supernatant for purification. Formulate and purify according to finish goods specifications. Purification Area Responsibilities: Perform incoming testing for Culture Media and ascites fluids. Test and purify monoclonal antibodies using appropriate techniques. Conduct resin retest and reclaim processes. Conjugation Area Responsibilities: Conjugate monoclonal antibodies. Prepare materials based on production plan requirements. Maintain chromatography systems. General Responsibilities: Provide in-process testing. Complete materials movement transactions on SAP system. Maintain detailed production records. Generate Quality Reports. Participate in investigations and continuous improvement projects. Ensure a safe work environment. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of methods in cell banks, instrumentation, and purification techniques. Familiarity with FPLC, HPLC, UV monitors, and size exclusion columns. GMP, FDA, ISO, and OSHA knowledge. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Bilingual (English and Spanish). Willing to travel to the US mainland and offshore. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Engineering. Minimum one year of experience in a related environment. Mental Demand: Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Manage stressful situations. Physical Demand: Occasionally requires heavy lifting, standing, walking, and other physical activities. Working Environment: Work is performed inside with exposure to various conditions.
