JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Associate Scientist for our client in Cromwell, CT! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $30.00/Hour Shift Details M-F 9 AM -5 PM 2 days in office 3 remote Responsible for collecting, analysing and communicating complex scientific information and data in the area of dietary supplements to prepare claim substantiation documents to support new product launches. Focus areas are probiotics and women?s health. Monitor emerging science in relevant fields and share the trends and learnings across functions. Monitor competitive landscape, summarize the findings and any potential implications to our current portfolio. Gather, review and critique scientific manuscripts and publications. Perform in-depth review of literature, clinical trial results, scientific opinions and synthesize relevant information to guide decision making. Prepare written, oral summaries and reports of scientific information primarily related to the dietary supplements category. Keep up to date our internal scientific publications database. Provide scientific viewpoint on ingredients science in support of new product development. Monitor competitive landscape, summarize and share with the team. Identify all relevant SHE and security aspects (e.g. use of workspace, traveling, required training, ergonomics, SHE plans, etc.) and assess the corresponding risks related to the position; act in such a way that the SHE and Security impact on self and others is minimized (e.g. follow instructions and procedures, good housekeeping, etc); immediately report and give follow-up to all incidents (injuries, near misses, SHE hazards, etc.) and encourage colleagues to improve SHE results and prevent incidents. Ability to write effective technical documents including research reports. Bachelor?s degree, preferably in a technical science (Biology, Nutrition, Food Science, pharmaceutical and chemical engineering). Some combination of training and experience within the following would be a plus: FDA dietary supplement regulation knowledge; Physiology/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Biology; Food/Nutraceutical/Pharmaceutical industry. | |
