JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Laboratory Technician for our client in Madison, AL!
Weekly Pay!
$22.50/Hour

Shift Timings: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

Comply with all requirements for laboratory quality and safety certification.
Weigh up and blend raw materials as per written formula with strong attention to material identification, weights and blending conditions.
Extrude, grind and sieve materials with attention to equipment settings.
Must be able to safely operate, move, disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment multiple times per day.
Prepare coated substrates and evaluate the coating appearance.
Maintain clear and update technical data and project records.
Take shared routine responsibility to maintain lab raw materials stock, normal area housekeeping, Dust collector emptying, calibrations or other lab duties.
Excellent attention to detail is required to avoid errors and safety situations.
Able to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be able to stand and walk uninterruptedly for up to 2 hours at a time.
This position requires 80% of an 8 hour shift to be doing physical/ standing type of activity.
Must be able to traverse and transport material on equipment from one work area to another
Must be able to move product weighing up to 25 lbs. from floor to waist on daily basis
Must be able to position self to move product from ground to waist and waist to chest height
Must have proficient visual acuity and possess color discrimination
Must adhere to the health and safety site rules and perform in manner to eliminate risk of harm to self or others
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, for protection of occupational hazards at all times.

Safety shoes
Hearing protection

Responsibilities:
Incumbent must be able to perform each duty in a safely manner. The items listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and experience required:
Technical science degree is preferred.
Coatings experience with emphasis in liquid coatings is a plus.
Experience in the industrial research environment is desirable.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
