Weekly Pay! $20.00/Hour Shift Details: Shift 1 - 8am -4:30pm GENERAL SUMMARY The Graphic Designer will be mainly responsible for running, loading, printing and maintaining 2 HP Latex 700 Printers and 1 R1000+ Flatbed printer. Including but not limited to designing, production of signage, finishing, packaging, following corporate identity guidelines, and developing creative content that can be used in media and print on an as needed basis. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Running Onyx, loading material on machines, printing and maintaining 2 HP Latex Printers and 1 R1000+ Flatbed printer, including but not limited to production of signage, finishing, packaging, Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs. Employ color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing project. Develop material for web pages. Produce signs and environmental graphics. Create promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures - as needed. Develop the layout and production design. Meet with Sr. Graphic Designer and Print Shop Manager to collaborate on projects. Submit rough drafts to client for approval. Make changes to mock-ups. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS: Creative flair, originality, and a strong visual sense. Strong computer and production skills. Tasks are likely to include: design, printing, trimming of posters, coroplast, window perf, and shipping of final projects. Confidence to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues. Expert level knowledge in graphics and typography. Ability to develop design concepts that fit the client's needs. Ability to present options for design. Ability to finalize designs, working within established visual identity, timelines and budgets deadline. Graphic design input is required for a huge variety of products and activities adhering to corporate visual identity and brand standards advertising exhibitions and displays. Finding out about the project requirements (taking a 'brief') estimating the time the project will require coming up with design concepts that fit the client's needs presenting options for design treatments creating final designs. Working to a deadline and budget amending designs according to the clients' final comments. Proof reading and preparing designs to be sent to print. Other Requirements: Designers may use different media, e.g. Banner, Coroplast, Vinyl, Window Perf. Graphic designers will take briefs from an account manager who has responsibility for client contact in most cases, however, there will be times when the Graphic Designer will deal directly with internal clients. Designers also have to work closely with other colleagues involved in projects, such as copywriters, photographers, creative managers, etc. Technical Proficiencies: Photoshop, Illustrator, Onyx, Power point, Outlook Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design Minimum of 2-3 years experience in Sign Shop Environment | |
