1st Shift: 9am-5pm, with possible overtime

Job Description
Research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. Responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution. Typically has a Bachelors degree or equivalent training and experience with media communication and reporting.

Education/Experience
o Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent training required
o 5-7 years related experience required

Responsibility level
o Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor

Skills
o Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
o Ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required)
o Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services (Required)
o Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods (Required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data
o Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with marketing professionals, statisticians, pollsters, and other professionals.
o Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data.
o Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution.
o Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies
o Develop and implement procedures for identifying advertising needs.
o Direct trained survey interviewers.
