There are no exceptions. Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): Lab Tech Required Certifications: BLS Years of Experience: 1 Must Have Skills/Experience: One-year phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience. Previous Client LST II designation or equivalent experience. Preferred Skillset/Experience: Demonstrates effective computer skills for both electronic communication and data management. Creates and uses work aid documents as needed. Organizes, prioritizes and completes work to meet defined turnaround time and expectations. Assesses issues that arise and communicates to appropriate stakeholders for resolution as required. Participates in effective inventory control as needed. Performs, in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards, effective and timely acquisition, labeling, transfer, and referral of all appropriate laboratory specimens as required. Demonstrates responsibility for timely, effective and accurate processing and reporting of post-analytical laboratory results as required. Participates in training and education of others as requested. Utilizes safe, accurate, effective, professional methodologies while observing HIPAA confidentiality requirements and lab policies. Assists with processing of specimens and reports in laboratory areas as required. Troubleshoots and resolves specimen and order issues. Utilizes timely and effective communication skills in line with the Client Service Standards to address the needs of all customer groups in support of patient service excellence Resolves billing issues as required. Performs and assists with limited routine waived laboratory testing as required. Assists technologists in all appropriate test methods as required. Reconciliation of reference lab invoices as needed. Performs other duties as required. Type of Patients on Unit: Med Surg ICU, only ICU in hospital so we get all ICU patients | |
