Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Requirements: Not accessible to public transit; workers must have their own vehicle Drug test required (May involve driving a stand-up forklift) Clean-shaven - no beards General Summary: As a Material Handler II, you will play a crucial role in the safe and accurate loading and unloading of products within our distribution center in Baltimore. Join our team and contribute to the efficiency of our warehouse operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Pallet/Case Picking: Process customer orders, including scanning bar codes, picking, and labeling boxes Utilize RF technology for order processing Maintain an organized work area following SOP and work instructions Ensure accuracy verification and shipment packaging Pallet Build: Palletize completed orders, including scanning, retrieving, and placing items on pallets Re-palletize products for shipment Perform dock manifest duties, including scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper Transport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE) Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement: Load/unload inbound/outbound shipments using the WMS Ensure safe loading/off-loading of pallets to promote safety and prevent damages Complete all assigned duties in a timely manner following department procedures Operate the parcel manifest station and handle transportation documentation Follow safety instructions to maintain a safe working environment Maintain current status in C2C training modules Material Handling Equipment: Operate material handling equipment safely Report any damage or maintenance issues immediately Keep equipment neat and orderly in compliance with established procedures Safety and Security: Perform job activities in a safe manner in accordance with safety requirements Assist in maintaining warehouse security Report any injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards, or conditions immediately Report any suspicious persons or activity Quality: Understand organizational quality goals Sanitation and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and professional image Follow guidelines for facility cleanliness Keep a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times Hazmat Training: May receive Hazmat training, including general awareness, function-specific, security awareness, security plan, and safety training Cross-training: Become knowledgeable about other warehouse positions, act as backup during absence or vacation Job Requirements: High School diploma, GED, or 2 years of relevant experience Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker Ability to obtain Forklift Certification to meet BD guidelines Good verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment Ability to read and interpret distribution documents Strong teamwork skills, ability to work under minimal supervision Proficiency in operating MHE and using Voice/RF scanner Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills General distribution knowledge Exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment Physical Demands: The physical demands include walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, twisting, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and occasional climbing.
