Weekly Pay! $40.00/Hour Shift: 1 Enter Shift Start and End Time: 8am to 5pm Position Description This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Biochemist I (contract), you will be responsible for: Work with cross functions to resolve production issues including raw materials, formulation, QC testing, and product release. Work on Syva manufacturing analyzer conversion projects, which is to convert assay formulation testing from old analyzers to new analyzers. Leads process and/or design change projects, following written protocols, prepares validation and/or test results reports, working with cross function team to get deliverables in time. Creates and participates in the design of experiments; Coordinates and performs data analysis and writes internal reports and documentation. May work in the laboratory running Syva, AU, Dimension, Dimension Vista, Atellica and other instruments with serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin. A good understanding and knowledge of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies and principles of immunodiagnostic technology including EMIT technology as well as experience with immunoassays. Demonstrated ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Protein chemistry and chromatography knowledge and experience are desirable. Experience with automated immunoassay analyzers and/or ELISA, chemiluminescent technology, Western Blot, SDS-PAGE, as well as, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Statistical analysis knowledge, understanding lean production system and 6 Sigma, using Minitab is a plus. A strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work as a project leader as well as independently. A team player, be flexible and demonstrate the ability to switch priorities to meet business needs, must be a quick learner. Required skills to have for the success of this role BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Medical Technology, Biology or related disciplines with 2-5 years of job-related experience.
