Interview: Video interview and top candidates will be invited on site for site tour SUMMARY The Temporary Storeroom Clerk position is a temporary, hourly position, and reports to the Sourcing Analyst, II. We are looking for a responsible clerk to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of this role include providing support to Storeroom Receiving Technician, Maintenance, and others as needed. Responsibilities include issuing goods from Storeroom to Internal Customers, Receiving Goods into Storeroom, Updating Inventory Mgmt Systems and tracking sheets, physically preparing daily reports, obtaining & coordinating with multiple vendors for data/information for reports and update, and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate will have good oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Box Files-cloud based file sharing and office equipment. Responsibilities Follows all Owens Corning safety policies and procedures. Receives, loads, unloads, correctly stores, and distributes incoming items to production floor and general over the counter responsibilities. Processes forms and records, and coordinates with carriers and production, verifies receipts and shipment preparation. Maintain Daily Inventory in SAP Maintains Sarbanes Oxley compliance within job function for related compliance tasks including documentation, record retention, assist with annual certification and testing. Completes records and reports; records material receipts and enters goods issue in Global Shop Directs carrier driver to the proper unloading area and unloads cars or trucks as required. Assist with the storeroom cycle counting process. Assist with uniform ordering, receiving and inventory. Assists in positioning bins and equipment in the storage area. Complete training for all OSHA and Industry/Plant Required Safety Programs: Powered Industrial Trucks, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, HazMat, and Fall Protection usage. Ensures clean and orderly housekeeping in all assigned areas at all times. Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must be able to understand/ follow verbal and written instructions Must possess strong communication and organizational skills Must have the ability to multi-task Must have strong internal and external customer service skills Must be able to work independently COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES Operate a computer or other keyboard instrument Basic in Microsoft Office Suite Experience using Web based shopping/inventory. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Prefer High School Diploma or GED, but will accept 2 Years of Relevant Experience in lieu of Diploma/GED Related experience and/or training in an industrial environment Must be 18 years or older ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to safeguard self with proper PPE for the specific task Lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier weights with assistance. Exposure to hot/cold temperature- continuously Exposure to noise- continuously Hand/Eye Coordination? continuously Wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation) ? continuously Walk, Sit, Stand for duration of shift with regular breaks Climb stairs, steps, and ladders, as well as work at heights on equipment, platforms, and walkways. Perform bending, squatting, kneeling, leaning, and reaching at both ground level and overhead. Ability to work extended hours as necessary Able to Operate Computers & Computerized equipment for quality, safety and compliance testing and training. Communicate with co-workers face to face, by telephone, and electronic communications. Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment, as well as an office or classroom setting. Possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Vision adequate to manipulate equipment controls, complete paperwork, utilize computers, and have depth perception. | |
