Job Title: Dock Handler
Pay: $16.50/hr
Shifts: 7:00a -3:30p, Mon -Fri With some Saturdays


The Dock Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently retrieving inventory, sorting, handling and manually loading and unloading merchandise on a pallet, and shrink wrapping in accordance with verbal and written instructions, as well as Federal, State and customer regulations.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Efficiently wrap and pack merchandise with packing slip or order details for each shipment, while maintaining a quick and steady pace and not compromising accuracy.
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers by hand or using pallet jacks or other equipment.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Control and maintain all records required for accurate, on-time completion of shipments.
- Work in a team environment to accomplish work assignments.
- Support and promote company core values.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience.?? However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.?? Freight forwarding experience preferred.
- Must be a team player with a high level of energy and self-motivation.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be PC proficient with ability to type and update computer system quickly and accurately.
- Applicants must be able to pass TSA screening to work in an IAC environment.
- Candidates will understand and carry out instructions given orally and in writing, including those on manifest and other shipping documents.
- Candidates must possess good judgment; know when to escalate issues and when to try to resolve.
- Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
- Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
