Job Title: Dockworker Pay: $17.50/hr Shift: 7am - 3:30pm (Mon - Fri and some Saturdays) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Responsibilities: The Dock Worker is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading, sorting, handling, and loading freight in accordance with verbal and written instructions, as well as Federal, State, and customer regulations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Duties include but are not limited to: - Controlling and maintaining all records required for accurate. - On-time completion of shipments. - Operate forklifts. - Operate pallet jacks. - Compliance with company C-TPAT security procedures. - Other duties as assigned. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Qualifications: - Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. A combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration. - Experience working in Freight Forwarding or Transportation industry preferred. - The Dock Worker must be a team player with a high level of energy and self-motivation. - The ideal candidate is a self-starter and ability to work with little direction in a fast-paced environment. - Must be PC proficient with ability to type and update computer system quickly and accurately. - Candidates must possess ability to individually lift a minimum of 30lbs and team lift a minimum of 70 lbs and work on your feet all day. - Applicants must be able to pass TSA screening to work in an IAC environment. - Candidates will understand and carry out instructions given orally and in writing, including those on manifest and other shipping documents. - Candidates must possess good judgment; know when to escalate issues and when to try to resolve. - Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines.## | |
