SHIFT INFO Shift day Shifts per week 5 Hours per shift 8 Shift Hours: 8:00 am-4:30 pm EXPERIENCE Years of Experience One Year Plus DESCRIPTION Number of Beds: 4 Patient Ratios: 1:2 Equipment: EKG, Sophia machines (POC tests) Must Have Skills/Experience: vitals, injections, triage, medical terminology Preferred Skillset/Experience: 1+ years experience working as an MA preferred Type of Patients on Unit: pediatric and adult Personality Fit: warm, friendly, team player Certifications: RMA certification and/or experience preferred Job Description Responsibilities - Responsible for coordinating care and building relationships with patients in partnership with Client Primary Care Providers. Cleans and stocks examination rooms including laying out special equipment or supplies to be used during a patient visit. Escorts patient to the examination room and prepares patient for examination and treatment in a respectful and considerate manner. Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering the chief complaint; taking patient vital signs; reviewing patient history and allergies; completing a thorough medication reconciliation; working the Encounter Guide including helping to close any open care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams; rechecking elevated blood pressures; and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed. Assists with any needed in-office testing including, but not limited to, drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKG?s, walking oxygen studies and point of care testing. Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice. Assists provider with procedures. Inputs orders as needed to aid provider and clinical care team. Schedules follow up appointments when needed per office policy. Ensures excellent consumer experience. Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan. Performs other work duties as assigned. | |
