The Maintenance Technician repairs, adjusts, and maintains equipment daily. This position is Forklift Certified. This position directly impacts customer satisfaction and profitability. Due to the physical demands of this job, it is essential that correct lifting techniques, proper body mechanics, as well as applicable safe work practices be utilized. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Gets work order per assigned area, prioritizing work order from Maintenance Supervisor. 2. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment. 3. Maintains and repairs all production equipment. 4. Troubleshoots production equipment using PLC. 5. Edits programs to accommodate new procedures on existing equipment. 6. Edits programs to control the edition of conveyors or stacking machinery. 7. Changes motors, 8. Reads electrical schematics. 9. Installs/repairs plumbing. 10. Splices conveyor belts. 11. Rebuilds gear boxes. 12. Performs pneumatic and hydraulic repairs. 13. Installs/move machines. 14. Repairs hot melt units. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A working knowledge of department safety, quality and operational procedures, training manuals and company policies and procedures is required. Employees must have a working knowledge of all equipment and processes for repair and maintenance of that equipment. Experience: At least 7 years of relevant work experience is required. Skills: Ability to evaluate design flaws and implement corrective actions to eliminate chronic problems or excessive downtime in areas of assignment. Knowledge in robotic/CNC systems with ability to support the electronic interface, mechanical installation, design/fabrication, repair, and maintenance of various brands of secondary automation devices for automated production equipment. | |
