Description:

Position Description:
Participates in project/sales meetings as project core team member to exert a shaping influence at an early stage and to optimize internal workflows and processes.
Establishes proper sourcing and Procurement processes and controls all Procurement resources and activities in the project.
Analyzes customer inquiries during bid preparation / opportunity management phases and exactly understands the customer's functional needs in order to include (supplier) innovations.
Supports project calculation with reliable material cost data.
Analyzes scope of supply and contract agreements, carries out risk analyses and introduces negotiation recommendations.
Analyzes sales and operations planning in respect of starting / new projects, assessing and controlling of material costs within the whole project business in order to ensure the involvement of Procurement.
Drives Procurement strategies in projects and ensures their implementation.
Heads up contractual and price negotiations and/or supports the specialist buyers responsible for particular material fields.
Clarifies internal indicators for project controlling and compiling all relevant information to submit qualified reports.
Forwards systematically all relevant Procurement related project information. Impacts: Commodity (Group) Team Management (small) ñ Regional Commodity Procurement Professional - Local: Positions focusing on identifying regional or global suppliers, markets or regions, for assigned (non-critical, moderately complex) commodities, semi-products, services portfolio, either directly or indirectly used in own product portfolio, in the various BU of Client. Identifying and analyzing internal customer needs, analyzing and discussing technical specifications, in cooperation with Sales Management responsible or together with technical Project Manager. Prepares negotiations and contracts. Key Responsibilities: "Experienced Professional" These positions are expected to contribute to and deliver business processes or detailed technology solutions, in a self-managed and target oriented manner, and thus contributes to team results. Positions focusing on analyzing, developing, testing or implementing processes, technologies and systems in their specific field of expertise, from first principles. Targets are short to medium term (best to be characterized as milestones), and achievements are monitored. They may provide functional advice to and integrate services of operational staff or semi-professional colleagues. Typically these functions review to 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in their field of work and qualification. Experience: 3-5 years. Knowledge: Thorough professional know-how in one Sub Job Family, based on practical experience and theoretical foundation. Focus on applying and expanding acquired knowledge base. Application of knowledge in broader professional context

Special Requirements
Develop a master list for all quote activities within the Steam Turbine plant in Charlotte.
Maintain quote status from tendering, through data management and procurement
Run and lead weekly and where applicable daily status meeting with appropriate stakeholders
Update status in corresponding SAP sales document
Inform order manager and tendering engineers about roadblocks, needed clarification and obstacles
Ensure timely responses from stakeholders
Develop and utilize method for cost estimation where applicable to expedite urgent quote requests
Obtain order status of parts from manufacturing and procurement and inform order manager and tendering engineers accordingly
Create Sales Documents (quotes) in SAP
Upload repair and component cost models to SAP and ensure correct data field maintenance in the sales documents
Support miscellaneous quote activities as needed (file consolidation, upload activities into iCloud, setup structure in iCloud etc.)
Develop and draft procedures for desktop procedures and SOPs (standard operations procedures)
