$21.00/Hour
Schedule
Day shift M-F. Flexibility start times between 6am-9am. Optional OT as needed.

Job Responsibilities
Sample processing and handling of chemicals including isocyanates
Physical property testing and characterization
Data entry, processing, and documentation
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. as well as manipulate and transport samples and lab materials
Maintain and improve lab space and equipment
Other duties as appropriate for a laboratory technician position
Willingness to pick up new responsibilities in a research environment, accept feedback and training, and maintain practices individual is trained to
Adherence to safe work practices and compliance with all environmental, health, safety and security protocols as specified by Client personnel or documented procedures

Required Skills/Experience
Good cooperative interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work proactively either independently or in a team
Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office; with a particular emphasis on MS Excel
Experience with standardized testing methods
Rudimentary understanding of statistics and experimental methods
Fundamental understanding of physical and mechanical properties of materials
Experience maintaining/repairing electrical and/or mechanical devices
Aptitude with hand tools and simple metal working/fabrication
Demonstrated experience in conducting scientific experimentation and documentation (report writing)

Additional Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Education
Minimum education of an Associate?s Degree or equivalent in a science, technology, and/or engineering related field (e.g.: physics, chemistry, material science, polymer science, mechanical engineer, plastics engineer, chemical engineer, engineering technology) or 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support role.
