Job Description/Scope of Work:
Responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities.

Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment o modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
Directs the operation of the physical facility functions including equipment installations and service functions for facility (includes safety and outside contractors).
Plans, formulates and administers various engineering programs.
Designs and facilitates capital projects within the facility.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
Oversees maintenance of facility and equipment.
Performs equipment and project design.
Plans and supervises project work.
Provides manufacturing support to business centers.
Performs cost estimating.
Troubleshoots equipment.
Initiates purchase for equipment and maintenance supplies.
Reports on maintenance and engineering activities to management.

Education Requirements: 4 Year Degree ? Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering or Project Management Additional Job Details
A good understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic and their relationship to electrical control. Good mechanical aptitude (piping, layouts, structural, etc.) and blueprint reading capabilities. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Experience: This position requires a minimum of three years of related experience.
