SHIFT INFO Shift Day Shifts per week 3 Hours per shift 12 EXPERIENCE Years of Experience One Year Plus Must be MO LPN Licensed with the IV Certification listed on the Nursys CERTIFICATIONS Certifications BLS ? required DESCRIPTION Unit: Med Surg Specialty: Licensed Practical Nurse Shift: 3x12 [36 hours] As guided by an assigned RN, utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains examination rooms. Maintains stock and inventory of clinical supplies and medications. Assists with light clerical duties, such as filing, answering phones and scheduling patients. Calls pharmacy with prescriptions and patients with test results. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. MINIMUM REQUIRED Education: Graduate of accredited LPN school Licensure: Must have either a current LPN Temporary Permit/PN license in the State of Missouri. Experience: Previous Wound Care, Nursing Home and/or Home Health nursing experience. Certification/Registration: CPR required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EPIC experience preferred. | |
