Job title: Warehouse Operator Location: Palmetto, GA Pay: $18.25 -$18.75 Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Friday to Sunday Role Responsibilities: - Conduct tasks in a traditional warehousing environment, focusing on building box crates around server racks. - Accurately pick parts according to customer orders, ensuring all necessary components are available for the crating process. - Interpret various orders and documents to identify items that need to be moved, shipped, or crated. - Organize items in designated areas based on specific criteria to streamline the crating process. - Utilize scanning materials and adhere to standard work instructions for precise inventory tracking and management. - Collaborate effectively with forklift drivers to facilitate the safe and efficient transport of server racks within the warehouse. - Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment, especially when handling and packaging delicate electronic equipment. - Keep the workspace tidy and organized, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED. - Mandatory requirement to wear composite-toe shoes for safety purposes. - Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), particularly JDE or Manhattan, is highly advantageous. - Strong ability to work within a diverse team and comprehend interpretive documents, including crating and packaging instructions. - Demonstrated manual dexterity and a keen attention to detail for the careful handling and packaging of delicate server racks. - Capacity to perform basic mathematical calculations for tasks related to inventory tracking and order fulfillment. - Previous experience in warehousing or manufacturing settings is preferred. - Knowledge of the tools and materials involved in the crating and packaging process would be beneficial. | |
