Job title: Warehouse Operator Location: Palmetto, GA Pay: $18.75 Shift: 4 PM - 12:30 AM, Monday to Friday Role Responsibilities: - Perform work in a traditional warehousing environment, specifically in building box crates around server racks. - Pick parts according to customer order and ensure all necessary components are gathered for the crating process. - Read and interpret various orders and documents to determine items to be moved or shipped, and to understand the specific requirements for crating. - Place items in designated areas based on various criteria, ensuring all materials are readily available for the crating process. - Work with scanning materials and following standard work instructions to accurately track and manage inventory. - Collaborate with forklift drivers to ensure safe and efficient transportation of server racks within the warehouse. - Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, particularly when handling and packaging delicate electronic equipment. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly. Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED. - Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), specifically JDE or Manhattan, is a big plus. - Must wear composite-toe shoes as a safety requirement for the position. - Ability to work with a diverse team and read interpretive documents, including crating and packaging instructions. - Manual dexterity and attention to detail for handling and packaging delicate server racks. - Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations for inventory tracking and order fulfillment. - Previous experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment is preferred. - Familiarity with tools and materials used in the crating and packaging process is a plus. | |
