Weekly Pay! $16.72/Hour Mon-Fri 9:30a-6p Mon-Fri 8:30a-5p through training Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. for duration of shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. during a shift Position Summary Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, selects, prepares and packages medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. Performs record keeping functions. Assists in various inventory control processes. As a Pharmacy Technician I ? Dispensing, you will be responsible for all aspects of the filling and packing of mail order prescriptions. The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring medication has been filled correctly so it can positively impact the lives of others. The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for accurately manually filling, packing, and sorting prescription orders via the intelligent order routing conveyance system. They also support the Inventory team (may be cross trained- 10% per week/as needed) with management of supplies and restocking. This is an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to excel in a complex, high impact dispensing role. As part of the Back-End Pharmacy Technician team, you will play a crucial role in helping others on the path to better health and your work will be directly affect the lives of others. As a pharmacy technician, you should possess high levels of reliability, professionalism, customer focus, problem solving, and team orientation must be exhibited to ensure success in this position. Duties Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with the Client specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws. Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices. Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices (will review for orientation). Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant as needed (cross train- 10% of the work week/as needed). Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed. Responsible for cleaning for all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas. Experience Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must Six months of work experience as a pharmacy technician. Prefer three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment. Prefer three months of work computer experience (outlook, pharmacy software). Able to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards. Knows drug names and basic pharmacology knowledge. Understands medical terminology utilized in a Pharmacy. Able to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders. Able to perform Ops Assistant responsibilities. Must be able to recognize limitations on decision-making scope and be able to escalate issues falling outside of that scope. Pharmacy Technician registration required as prescribed by law or by Client policy. Must have understanding of basic Pharmacy law. Education Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. | |
