Job Summary: Provides quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners and internal manufacturing cells and participates in continuous improvement activities in targeted areas. Executes the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements.

Duties: Provides Quality customer interface and expertise to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including assisting in complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action determination; Supports Supply Chain Management organization relative to the collection and analysis of supplier quality data providing expertise and assists suppliers with product and process quality requirements; Executes the development, implementation, and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout the operation, providing advanced quality planning support in the development and launch of new products, processes and services; Participates in the auditing of internal Quality Systems and completes part approval documentation to assure that customer requirements are met in new or modified products and processes; Analyzes organizational quality metrics and performs periodic reviews to evaluate results and recommendation action plans to close gaps in the supply chain; Develops and analyzes statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas; Contributes in the design and implementation of quality assurance training programs and conducts training in quality-related topics; Participates in product development and launches activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material handling; Provides support in the way of development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits; Develops, implements, and audits inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions; Investigates and eliminates causes of quality problems and follows up on corrective actions; Participates in the design, procurement, maintenance, and evaluation of gages, measurement instruments, devices and test equipment.

Experience: 6+ years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent professional experience

Education: Bachelor?s degree in from a recognized institution

Other Skills: Thorough understanding of problem solving methods, i.e. 8D and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects; Knowledge of and understanding of Monogram?s corporate Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements; Knowledge and understanding of Customer?s quality requirements; Detailed understanding of the key phases and requirements of an effective new product development and launch methodology; Detailed knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (i.e. ISO9001, ISO/TS-16949, AS9100, etc.); Detailed knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements; Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective action determination; Knowledge of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements (design/process interface); Thorough knowledge of gauging and basic understanding of product material properties; Understanding of engineering design and product reliability concepts and tool sets; Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102.

Job Summary:
This position will utilize lean kaizen events to improve a product line or lines by training employees and using quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. The Quality Engineer will design, or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment, analyze production and service limitations and standards, recommend the revision of specifications, and formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. Conduct training on manufacturing quality assurance, lean manufacturing and SPC concepts and tools. The Quality Engineer is the control point for the analysis, reporting and training of a product line or lines. This job reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Summary of Duties:
Reviews and signs engineering change notices (ECNs) and engineering drawings.
Works with the quality control and production personnel to drive the continuous improvement process.
Tracks and ensures measuring and testing equipment used within the division is within calibration.
Monitors and assists first article inspection (FAI) information system.
Writes reports and standard work, performs employee training, and conducts statistical analysis.
Ensures production tooling is inspected and conforms to specs prior to use.
Approves work orders prior to release to ensure engineering operations are properly documented.
Applies purchase order quality clauses to applicable products within an MRP system
Assists corrective action board (CAB) by being a member, provides problem solving / resolution.
Performs internal process audits to company specifications.

Qualifications:
Level 1 Qualifications:
Education: BS degree is preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields.
Experience: 1-2 years? experience within the quality environment.
Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office® programs ®, Office, and with MRP systems. Proficient use of Excel skills.
Other Skills: Good trouble shooting skills and strong communication skills required. Familiar with general quality systems. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other related literature is necessary.

Description: Entry level

Level 2 Qualifications:
Education: BS degree is preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields.
Experience: 3-4 years? experience within the quality environment. Quality certification strongly desired.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office® programs ®, Office, and with MRP systems. Advanced Excel skills.
Other Skills: Certified blue print reader. Good trouble shooting skills and strong communication skills required.

Description: Intermediate level

Level 3 Qualifications:
Education: BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields.
Experience: 5-7 years? experience within the quality environment.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office® programs, Office, and with MRP systems. Advanced Excel skills.
Other Skills: Certified blue print reader. Strong trouble shooting skills and communication skills. Advanced Spreadsheet building and Microsoft Office Skills.
