There are no exceptions. EXPERIENCE Years of Experience One Year Plus Specialties Med-Surg - required Neuro - required Certifications BLS ? required NIHSS stroke certification - required DESCRIPTION Education: ASN or BSN Licensure: Currently licensed in the state of Missouri. Certifications: NIHSS stroke certification. Job Summary: Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in a Neurosurgical unit. The unit focuses on the care of patients with stroke, seizures, MS, back/head/spinal and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Potential same day offers, depending on time of submittal AUTO OFFER GUIDELINES Requested time off ? up to 5 days will be approved in the offer sent to the vendor by Healthtrust. Anything more will have to be reviewed and approved by the team at St. Louis. HWS will ask the candidate to make up approved time off at the back of the assignment Guarantee of hours ? 36 or 48 hour guarantee is approved and preference must be noted on submittal cover sheet. Note, for a 48 hour guarantee, overtime would not apply until after 48 hours worked in a week Duration of assignment ? HWS will offer 13-30 weeks; preference should be listed on submittal cover sheet Block scheduling ? is considered and will be accommodated to the ability of the unit needs.
