This role involves using a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse. Warehouse Operators 1 may also be responsible for record-keeping. This position requires developing basic skills in specific tasks, techniques, and procedures within a designated skill area. It involves applying basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks following established steps and guidelines. Warehouse Operators 1 work under general to limited supervision. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Zero to one year of warehouse experience or related training Acquiring and maintaining any necessary licenses, training, or certifications Basic skills training in an analytical or scientific method or operational process area, such as material handling and management, logistics, or manufacturing production Effective communication skills suitable for co-workers, team leads, and supervisors Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents in English and perform basic math calculations Proficiency in working in a metrics-driven environment General computer skills Physical Demands: The job involves various physical activities, including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, twisting, and using hands for tasks like typing, handling, feeling, and picking, which may include repetitive hand and wrist movements. The role may require lifting or moving objects weighing over 50 lbs. The work environment can experience temperature variations, with hot conditions in the summer months (no air conditioning) and cold conditions in the winter months (limited heating).
