What you will do:
Client is developing the next generation of smart and connected by making building more intelligent. A smarter building is safer, more comfortable, more efficient, and ultimately more sustainable.
You will be responsible for maintaining the data in Client Selection Navigator software tool developed to assist our customers in the selection and configuration of HVAC products built by Client. The role will support design engineering and commercial teams to maintain data and configurations in our online customer-facing pre-sales tools.

How you will do it:
Manage product selection tool data, both variable and static, for Commercial and Residential HVAC products.
Participate in new product introduction process from inception to end of life.
Gather, aggregate and store information from a variety of sources for a variety of purposes. Systems include, but are not limited to, product selection tools, MS Excel, SQL Server databases, SAP variant configuration data and engineering change data
SQL data maintenance and VBA code modification
Document procedures and work instructions to aid in the training and standardization of Product Configuration process and use of digital tools
Continuously examine our processes and identify opportunities to improve and automate them with off-the-shelf tooling
Interact with a variety of job functions including IT, product management, design engineering and manufacturing engineering.
Perform other duties as assigned
What we look for:
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred
3-5 years of experience in programming product selection experience.
Experience using SQL, Excel and VBA/VSA to mine data from relational databases
Strong data and product selection knowledge.
Technical Writing ability to document work procedures to be shared across the Client organization
Able to speak to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as absorb and use technical documentation
Keen eye towards processes, and how to improve them
Implementation in the discrete manufacturing industry
Availability to work some weekends or evenings

Preferred
HVAC product knowledge (split and packaged systems)
SAP experience with Variant Configurator modeling, Sales and Distribution (SD) and Production Planning (PP) and BOM and Material Master module(s)
Ability to move desktop solutions to more enterprise-grade databases and systems
Familiarity with deployment of software products into production systems
Product Lifecycle Management
