JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Assistant Controller for our client in Bloomington, MN! Pay rate: 94.00 Hours: M-F 8-5 Remote/Hybrid/In-Person: Hybrid-2 day per week in office. The first week or two will be more frequent Location: Bloomington, MN Assignment Duration: 4 Months Team culture: Large team environment, typically all collaborating on teams and always supporting one another Resource's typical working day: Operate in Yardi software and various web-based platforms. Consolidate financial data received from property accounting partners. Review financial reports received from property accounting partners. Reconcile fund level cash; accounting for distributions and equity contributions. Perform fund level budget variance analysis. Prepare quarterly fund level financial reports [joint venture waterfalls, NAV package, and financial statements]. Prepare quarterly debt compliance packages. Troubleshoots advanced issues and ensures customer service requests are handled timely and accurately. Work Equipment Issued: Laptop Manages multiple real estate accounting teams to provide accurate and timely client reporting for assigned portfolios of CBRE clients and properties. ? Implements processes to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. ? Assists in managing client relationships for strategic accounts. ? Analyzes and prices scope of service changes and suggests consulting opportunities to manager based on in-depth knowledge of the department's pricing platform. ? Reviews monthly pricing worksheets and enters allocations into PeopleSoft. ? May create pricing estimates for new business opportunities. ? Participates and/or leads all aspects of internal and external property and client transitions. ? Works with other internal teams in handling special requirements as defined in the Management Agreement and scope of services in the Financial Services Agreement. ? Troubleshoots escalated issues and ensures internal and external customer requests are handled timely, accurately and with a focus on customer service. ? Creates a positive customer experience by opening and maintaining constructive and reliable lines of communication. ? Verifies and ensures accounting team's debt, real estate tax, sales tax and owner distribution payments are made timely and internal databases are updated and maintained accordingly. ? Assists Senior Management with implementation of strategic department and corporate initiatives. Partners with their accounting team to ensure they have a working knowledge of clients. ? Management Agreements and that they are properly maintained per department policy and requirements/terms ? Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. ? Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. ? Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. ? Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff ? Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. Education and Experience ? Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required. ? A minimum of eight years prior accounting, finance or related experience required to include prior supervisory experience. Experience with real estate accounting software preferred. ? Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. ? Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. ? Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches, and articles using distinctive style. ? Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. ? Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. ? Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. ? Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. ? Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company. Years of Experience needed: 3-5 Years in property accounting is preferred Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree Systems/Software proficiencies: Excel (V look ups and basic formulas) is required, Yardi is preferred Certifications/Licenses: n/a Top 3 Must have Hard Skills: 3-5 years of Accounting Experience, ability to consolidate financial report, and conduct budget variances. Top 3 Must to have Soft Skills: Time management, strong written communication, Top Nice to have Skills: Experience in accounting for dispositions and acquisitions, fund accounting, and joint ventures | |
