Job Title: Forklift Operator Location: Canaan, CT Salary: $22.00 per hour Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (7pm to 7am) Job Description: We are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our client's team in Canaan, CT. This role involves using various equipment like forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse. The position also includes maintaining records and requires basic skills in a specific area or process. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience and/or training Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling, logistics, manufacturing production) Effective communication skills in English Ability to read, write, interpret documents, and perform basic math calculations Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment Basic computer skills Physical Demands: This job involves physical activities, including walking, standing, stooping, lifting, and reaching. It may also require lifting objects over 50 lbs. The work environment can be exposed to moving mechanical parts, various weather conditions, and some noise. The position may involve working in hot or cold conditions (no AC in summer, limited heating in winter).
