A CCTV Technician is responsible for handling various aspects of video surveillance system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The role entails working on a variety of tasks such as installing CCTV systems, performing regular maintenance checks, responding to system faults, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. **Key Responsibilities:** - Install and program new surveillance systems, including cameras, video recorders, networking equipment, and monitor setups. - Perform regular maintenance and inspections on CCTV equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity. - Troubleshoot system problems, identify faults, and perform necessary repairs or replacements. - Understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings related to CCTV equipment and installations. - Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and resolving issues quickly. - Coordinate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of CCTV projects. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security technology trends and developments. - Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures. **Skills and Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. - Experience in CCTV installation and maintenance is a must. - Strong technical understanding of video surveillance systems and equipment. - Ability to interpret technical specifications and diagrams. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - High level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills. - Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with a team. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required. **Salary and Benefits:** - The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, location, and employer.
