Weekly Pay! $62.06/Hour Shift Timings : 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Certifications: CST, NBSTSA Job Summary: Under the supervision of the surgeon, the CST-FA performs first assistant duties during the surgical procedure. In addition, the CST-FA performs in the role of the Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room as needed. Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Client Service Standards. Assisting in all Cardiothoracic and Vascular procedures as the first assist to the surgeon, working with CVOR team to properly care for patient while in the operating room setting. Performs the primary function of a CVOR First Assist in the Operating Room. Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Client service standards. General Comments Qualifications: Education: HS Diploma or GED. Licensure: Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certification from an accredited surgical technology program preferred. Experience: Minimum 5 years Surgical Technologist scrub experience Previous CST-FA experience preferred Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist required (CST) Qualifications: MUST be able to proficiently assist cardiothoracic surgeon in vascular and open-heart procedures. As well as multiple years of experience in taking saphenous and radial veins endoscopically for bypass procedures. References will be required. | |
