JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Scientist for our client in Abbott Park! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $37.50/Hour What You?ll Do ? Support project scientists by conducting experiments leading to the development and implementation of new or improved prokaryotic propagation processes producing native or recombinant proteins. ? Support the project lead helping to execute project plans and accomplishing established milestones. ? Evaluate and summarize data using analytical methodologies, interpreting results, drawing conclusions and recommending options for future experiments to achieve project goals. ? Appropriately documents experimental procedures and results according to established guidelines. ? Present scientific observations at internal technology reviews and to the broader scientific community at national meetings or through publication when appropriate. ? Identify technical alternatives from literature review. ? Familiar with lab environment & safety practices ? Apply basic computer skills. (Includes word processing, spreadsheets, instrumentation related & network systems.). ? Apply technical writing skills to produce reports & documents. ? Utilize numerous analytical instruments. ? Recognize & resolve technical problems. Education And Experience You?ll Bring ? BS/MS degree with additional progressive research experience (preferred) o Formal training in one of the following main fields of study; Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular, Cellular & Development Biology, Cellular Physiology or Molecular Biology strongly preferred. ? Experience and demonstrated understanding of microbial cell physiology and metabolic pathways strongly preferred. ? Prokaryotic experience should include demonstrated expertise at the shake-flask, 1-L and 10-L fermentation scales, preferred. ? Experience with Steam-in-place equipment and or single-use is beneficial (not required). ? Candidate should have experience in fermentation process development and optimization for enhanced target molecule expression preferred. ? Knowledge of statistical data analysis and programing automated systems is a plus. ? Experience presenting results of projects both internally & externally; present complex technical data to large and diverse groups is beneficial. ? Familiar with project planning, process updates, & experimental design Prepares & align impact goals with department goals required. | |
