Description: The Quality Control Inspector performs quality checks across various departments on a variety of products. Responsibilities include conducting interval quality checks and completing paperwork per QP, compliance audits, and providing production with technical support with quality issues as they arise. The QC Inspector partners with Team Leads and Supervisors ensuring the quality of products will maintain a safe working environment. Duties: Conduct interval quality checks and complete paperwork per QP. Maintain and calibrate test equipment and gauges. Work with Code Agency personnel to ensure conformance with quality standards and product requirements. Providing production with technical advice pertaining to quality assurance and control as necessary. Check dimensions and finishes against blueprints or work order specifications. Supervise and/or conduct rework activities on damaged products. Support plant?s compliance with company-wide initiatives. Drive system audits for compliance and work with internal customers to ensure success. Excellent communication skills with the ability to read and write in English. Ability to operate forklift as needed. Cross train in other departments and perform other duties as dictated by business needs. Inspect coils loads, measure thickness, width; test hardness & check against specifications sheet from computer. Ideal candidates must be flexible, available to work overtime on short notice. Ability to communicate, both written and orally, regarding recurring quality problems, quality audits and other production/quality issues. Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The employee must have good natural or corrected vision to meet normal vision standards. This is a hands-on position that requires ability to work as a team, being results oriented, attention to details and able to multitask in a demanding and fast paced environment We Require- High school diploma or equivalent 6+ months experience in Quality Control preferred | |
