Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Data Scientist to support a Customer Analytics and Digital Products team within a large utility organization. This role will analyze large-scale utility and customer datasets to identify trends, data quality issues, customer behaviors, and opportunities for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on utility industry and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) data experience, along with strong Power BI and data analysis skills. This position will work closely with Product Owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to validate data, support digital products, develop dashboards, and translate complex findings into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets, including AMI usage, customer billing, and digital engagement data.
Review and validate data extracts, dashboards, and multi-source datasets for accuracy, anomalies, trends, and data quality issues.
Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and findings.
Support customer-facing digital products, including rate recommendation and bill comparison tools.
Analyze historical usage and billing data to support product performance and customer insights.
Track website and digital engagement metrics, including page views, clicks, and customer interactions.
Partner with Product Owners, engineers, and business SMEs on data integrations, testing, validation, and product enhancements.
Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within large data sets.
Translate technical findings into clear business insights and recommendations.
Manage multiple analytical projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a regulated utility environment.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
2+ years of professional data analysis experience.
Meaningful utility industry and AMI data experience is required.
Strong experience analyzing large data extracts and multi-source datasets.
Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboards, reporting, and data visualization.
Experience with Databricks or comparable platforms used to work with large datasets.
Strong analytical, data validation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies and data quality issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical findings to both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) data or systems experience.
Google Analytics or digital engagement analytics experience.
Experience analyzing website activity, page views, clicks, and customer interactions.
Experience developing recurring reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Experience supporting customer-facing digital products or analytics initiatives.
