Job Title: Warehouse Lead Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $21 - $25/hr Summary Warehouse associate is capable of leading others to receive and unload carriers, delivering packages, pulling orders and putting material away as needed. Must have a great eye for detail, basic math skills and knowledge of ERP systems for entering and receiving purchase orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts to safely unload carriers. Capable of inspecting deliveries for damages, and discrepancies. Experience in inventory management, storekeeping, and stockroom operations for handling mechanical and electrical components. Working knowledge of computer programs for the receipt of purchased goods. Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items. Pick and pack sales orders, work orders and kits for production floor daily. The ability to work independently and to train and oversee the work of other warehouse associates. Serves as a back-up to the Warehouse Supervisor. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of light boxes of materials and products up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core work hours of 7:00AM 3:30 PM and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of previous warehouse or stockroom experience Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations Good communication skills for interfacing with carriers, internal customers & management Must be able to lift or pull objects up to 50+ lbs. with or without accommodation Team oriented attitude Experience using ERP systems, MS Word, MS Excel, outlook and email Works will with others to assist in their job duties and training as required. | |
