Cor-Tech / Jobs R Us is immediately hiring experienced Cut to Length Machine Operators/Slitter Operator for a steel manufacturing and warehouse environment. This is a direct-hire opportunity with competitive pay, overtime, and full benefits. Location: Carol Stream, IL Company: Cor-Tech / Jobs R Us Industry: Steel Manufacturing & Warehouse Shifts Available: 1st Shift: Monday?Friday, 5:00 AM ? 3:00 PM; Saturday, 5:30 AM ? 1:00 PM 2nd Shift: Monday?Friday, 5:00 PM ? 3:00 AM; Saturday, 3:30 PM ? 11:00 PM Pay: $22.00 ? 26.00 per hour (based on experience) Responsibilities Set up and operate the cut-to-length line according to job specifications and work orders. Review work orders and production schedules to determine material requirements, cutting lines, dimensions, and tolerances. Adjust machine settings, including blade clearances, feed rates, and guides, to achieve accurate cuts. Load, transport, unload, and stack materials according to established procedures and safety protocols. Overhead Crane or Forklift Monitor machine operation to detect defects, malfunctions, or issues with product quality and take corrective action or assist in troubleshooting as needed. Measure workpieces using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and tape measures to ensure conformance to specifications. Inspect finished products for defects such as chipped edges or marred surfaces, and sort accordingly. Maintain efficient paperwork for inventory management and production records. Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance tasks on the machine. Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations and address any issues.
