Position Summary Seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electromechanical Assembler to accurately assemble and test products in a manufacturing environment. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, with a strong background in mechanical assembly, soldering, electrical work, machining, engineering, or a combination of these areas. Candidates should demonstrate strong tenure and stability on their resumes. Candidates with multiple short-term positions should provide detailed explanations for the transitions. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED ? copy must be provided before interview U.S. Citizenship required Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, including assembly Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions Ability to perform basic shop math and calculate dimensions/tolerances Experience using hand and power tools Ability to use computers in a manufacturing environment Experience with inspection/measuring equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to troubleshoot assembly and product issues Ability to work safely and maintain a FOD-free work area Preferred Qualifications Post-secondary education, particularly Electronics Technology Soldering experience Electrical or electromechanical assembly experience Machining experience Engineering education or technical training Experience with mechanical/electronic test equipment Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly and testing using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and test equipment. Perform subassembly, final detailing, lock wiring, and other routine assembly functions. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and customer requirements. Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet product specifications and customer/industry standards. Record test results using data forms, basic electrical equipment, and flow meters. Use inspection and measurement equipment, including micrometers and other precision tools. Perform touch-up or surface painting and properly mix and apply finishing materials when required. Troubleshoot assembly issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Maintain equipment and ensure required calibration schedules are followed. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, FOD-free work area. | |
